i think the connections we have with people become, at a certain point, far more important than the connections we have within ourselves. other people become us, settle within the gaps we can't fill in ourselves, complete us. of course, there is necessity in filling in as much as we can on our own, but we are so inherently tied to others, it's impossible to live a complete life without this attachment. i'm not really sure what i'm getting at here, but i wish i were more comfortable with the connections i make to the people in my life. i can understand the importance, but i can never seem to get it just perfect. maybe there is beauty in this, too, but i can't help but crave someone who i don't feel this dissonance with. i hope you are feeling connected and safe with the people you are around <3
